| Summary: | This article briefly assesses emergency preparedness and risk at a gamma irradiation facility. Background radiation levels (indoor: 0.114 μSv/h; outdoor: 0.072 μSv/h) and annual effective doses (indoor: 0.586 mSv/y; outdoor: 0.087 mSv/y) are below global and ICRP limits. Excess Lifetime Cancer Risk (2.25 × 10⁻³) is slightly above the world average. An evaluation framework identified strong engineering design but gaps in emergency planning (e.g., formal plans, probabilistic safety analysis, drills, external coordination). Recommendations for facility management and regulators are provided Текстовый файл |
