Summary:Title screen
The article analyzes the properties of the Kemeny and Borda aggregation rules used in the method of interval fusion with preference aggregation (IF&PA) for calculating the preferential median as an estimate of the central tendency. The results of computational experiments show that the values of the preferential median found by the corresponding versions of IF&PA-Kemeny and IF&PA-Borda absolutely coincide regardless of the number of intervals m and the number of discrete values n, as well as the type of the distribution law of the initial intervals. This fact allows to use the Borda rule in the IF&PA method instead of the Kemeny rule, calculating the preferential median in polynomial time, which opens up broad prospects for its various applications, including regression analysis
