Existing noninvasive blood flow studies have a number of drawbacks. Doppler ultrasonography requires qualified personnel and use of software installed in the instruments. Unlike doppler ultrasonography, rheography is less demanding in terms of staff training and instrument software, though it has its own drawbacks, such as electrical contact with the patient’s body, the inability to conduct studies at different depths, and the inability to determine the locations of disturbances to blood flow. These drawbacks can be eliminated by using a non-invasive device based on the eddy current method
