Summary:Title screen
The characteristics of neutron fluxes generated by pulsed accelerator-driven neutron sources, based on the 7Li (p,n)7Be reaction using lithium, LiF, and Li2O targets, were investigated. Computational analysis for 2.3 and 2.5 MeV proton beams quantified the optimal target thickness and revealed a significantly altered neutron energy spectrum compared to monoenergetic beams, featuring an enhanced bimodal structure. For both cases the neutron emission remained strongly forward-peaked. The results provide critical data for designing efficient targets and beam-shaping assemblies for pulsed neutron sources
