| Sumario: | Title screen This study reports on a method for producing lanthanum hexaboride (LaB6) by vacuum-free electric arc synthesis using lanthanum oxide powder (La2O3) and amorphous boron. The obtained experimental and analytical results demonstrate the feasibility of synthesizing cubic lanthanum hexaboride. The recommended arc reactor operating parameters determined for the maximum yield of the desired phase are shown.
