Summary:Title screen
The development of energy-saving, environmentally friendly methods for methane (CH4) conversion is a topical issue of modern science. This is determined by both the practical need to produce hydrogen, which is widely used today, and the fundamental need to understand the processes that occur during the implementation of a particular conversion method. The paper presents the main plasma-chemical methods for methane conversion. Particular attention is paid to methods where pulsed electron beams are used as plasma sources. The methane conversion methods were compared in several categories: energy consumption for CH4 decomposition, degree of conversion, synthesis selectivity. This review contains useful information for specialists involved in the development of methods for producing hydrogen
