| Summary: | Title screen The study presents the experimental results on the sedimentation stability of composite liquid fuels (CLFs) under the influence of vibration and centrifugal forces in ranges typical for automotive, rail, and marine transport. Compositions based on hard coal and coal refining waste were considered. The fuels were stabilized by combinations of such functional additives as lignite polymer, sodium acid pyrophosphate, isononylphenol with 12 moles of ethylene oxide and a mixture of mono- and dialkylphenol ethylene oxides. These compositions are one of the most promising in terms of environmental, economic, energy and technological parameters. Characteristics of the structural stability of slurries (water separation ratio and thickness of the separated liquid layer) were determined when varying amplitude, frequency and time of external loads in ranges of A= 0.000048–0.1 m, f= 46.4–200 Hz, and t = 5–300 min, respectively. Mathematical processing of the results summarized the experimental data and identified functional connections between key parameters using modified dimensionless numbers – the Bond number and the generalized Bond. Based on them, a “hydrodynamic” approach to assessing the sedimentation of slurries is proposed. After applying an external influence on a slurry, the capillarity length plays the role of an indicator of the surface tension increase at the CLF–air interface, characterizing deviations in the normal functioning of dispersing and wetting agents in the near-surface layer of solid particles due to the desorption of dispersants and neutralization of their action on a surface of particles during the disorientation of surfactant molecules Текстовый файл AM_Agreement |
