סיכום:A pipeline system is a vital lifeline for modern society. As cities continue to modernize and expand, a population density increases, urban water supply and sanitation networks become more complex, and the demand for clean water rises sharply. One of the current problems in ensuring the life support of a modern city is a pipeline rupture. For general water supply systems, the causes of ruptures and dents in pipes at their base are typically water hammer and transient flow phenomena associated with the interaction of fluids and solids. According to statistics, about 60% of all pipeline ruptures are caused by a water hammer. This paper presents a model of a liquid transfer pipeline system with valves. A study of the water hammer phenomenon was conducted. The dependency of mass flow rate and pressure amplitude on valve closure time was shown, and the pressure range variation during water hammer occurrence in a pipe was measured. The developed model can be used for investigating adjustments to the fluid transfer pipeline system and conducting predictive diagnostics for water hammer presence
