A study was carried out of the inhibitory effect of benzene and alcohol-benzene resins on the formation of asphaltene aggregates. By studying the component composition of the samples, a possible mechanism for inhibiting the formation of asphaltene aggregates was identified. The component composition of the samples was determined by the “hot” Golde method. Based on the results of the study, a conclusion was made about the suitability of using natural petroleum resins as an inhibitor of the formation of asphaltene aggregates, and the main mechanism of inhibition was identified - the homolytic transition of related compounds
