The operation of electromechanical devices is accompanied by vibration generated by them. To ensure the reliability, it is important to solve the problem of reducing the vibration activity of electromechanical devices. One of the ways to reduce vibration levels is damping. In this paper, the developed construction of a solid-state damper based on foam aluminum. The features of the technological process of manufacturing foam aluminum with open pores are considered. The damping properties of foam aluminum are described. An idealized deformation diagram of highly porous materials with designated working areas is also shown. An example of the effective use of a solid-state damper based on foam aluminum is considered. An analytical study of the dynamic displacements of an electromechanical device in a steady-state operating mode was carried out on the basis of the use of the developed solid-state damper.
