We present a comparative study of the ratio of aerosol fractions in the surface air and snow layers chronologically referenced to stratigraphically significant snowfalls. Trajectories of winter air masses were calculated using the NOAA HYSPLIT_4 model and NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis meteorological fields. The features of the formation of the winter aerosol field within the Ob–Tom interfluve are shown to be associated predominantly with winds with a southerly component.
