Summary:Title screen
The work presents the study of the properties of nanopowders produced bythe electric explosion of wire (EEW) in the atmosphere of Ar, CO, CO2, N2. It was established that with the increase of theelectric strength of a gas the wire acquires more energy, enabling the reduction of a particle average size. The EEW in gaseous media that have high dissociation energy (N2 and CO) produces metal powders that consist of crystalline α-Fe и γ-Fe. EEW products obtained in СО2 consist of α-Fe and bivalent iron oxide.
