The characteristics of droplet spreading over brass surfaces modified by laser radiation were studied. Two types of textures (anisotropic and ordered) were used. The spreading process was studied in a wide range of the liquid dosing rate from 10 to 600 μL/min. The mechanism of water spreading was determined using the bottom-up method of liquid supply/withdraw. The main forces acting on the droplet were described. According to the analyses of the dependences of the three-phase contact line speed under varying the liquid dosing rate, it was found that the nature of the change in the speed coincided with the nature of the change in the contact diameter over time. In addition, the spreading over the surfaces occurred in the homogeneous wetting. With this wetting regime, the liquid completely fills the depressions on the surface.
