| Summary: | Title screen In this work, we presented the experimental studies of the effect of nanosecond laser radiation on the texture formation and wettability of brass surfaces. The effect of a single laser beam on the formation of a crater-shaped texture element was established. Its typical geometrical dimensions (crater diameter, depth, and width of borders) were obtained under controlled parameters of the laser beam (frequency, exposure time, energy in the beam). The beam linear speed over the surface and the number of beam passes were determined to create anisotropic and crater- shaped ordered textures on the brass surfaces. The wettability properties, in particular, static contact angles, and their change in time after laser processing of brass surfaces were studied. |
