The texture of oxynitride (TiNxOy) biocompatible coatings is investigated. The profilometric measurement of the roughness of the film makes it possible to attribute the studied biocoating to class 7 of roughness. The results of a sclerometric study of adhesion of Ti-based coatings formed by magnetron sputtering under conditions of simultaneous doping with nitrogen are presented. It is found that the maximum adhesion is achieved with increased nitrogen content in the coating; the strength of cohesion of the film to the steel substrate is 371 MPa
