In the present work, multicomponent fluoride systems based on rare earth elements (REE) are synthesized by sedimentation of fluorides from water solutions of REE nitrates and their subsequent annealing at a temperature of 800°C. The primary concept of producing similar structures comes from the area of high-entropy alloys. This correlation between the configuration entropy and the mixing enthalpy is an important factor in defining phase transformations. The phase composition and structure of the obtained powders were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and XRD phase analysis methods.
