In the present work, experimental studies on combustion of natural methane hydrate were carried out. The natural gas hydrate for a larger particle diameter (3.8-4 mm) showed a lower dissociation rate than the natural hydrate with a granule size of 0.3 mm. The large particle size for the natural hydrate led to unstable “pulsating” combustion, when the rate of methane emission rapidly changed with time.
