Summary:Title screen
A comparison of the dissociation of n-propanol double hydrate and methane hydrate at external air temperature 22 °C and at air pressure of 1 bar was carried out experimentally. The particles of the double hydrate showed a significantly higher growth rate in the reactor than particles of gas methane hydrate. Thus, alcohol is a promoter in the generation of hydrate systems with methane. It is shown that the rate of dissociation of a double hydrate is noticeably lower than that of methane hydrate. The formation temperature of the double hydrate (methane - n-propanol) is lower than that of methane hydrate, which can be used to prevent hydrate plugs in the pipelines.
