Over the past decade, interest in the problem of gas hydrates around the world has increased dramatically. This is due to the search for alternative sources of hydrocarbons. The mathematical apparatus allows us to simplify and reduce the cost of the research process. As a result, a model is obtained that describes the process of ignition of a gas hydrate particle. According to the data obtained, with an increase in the diameter of the gas hydrate, the ignition delay time is increased.
