| Summary: | Title screen The kinetics model used in the calculations of fast-neutron reactors has changed since the first model was introduced by Keepin. Keepin created six-group model, which included 29 delayed-neutron precursors. Six-group model of delayed neutrons was considered in the point model kinetics equations, which are obtained by the simplification of the non-stationary neutron transfer equations. With the exploration of new data, the new, eight-group, model was introduced, which took into account more than 270 precursors. Also, the usage of the system of point kinetics equations with the spatial dependence of the delayed-neutron precursors gives more correct results than the classic point model equations.
