The regularities in accumulation and dissipation of energy in plastic deformation of the samples of titanium and Zr-1 wt % Nb alloys in the coarse-grained and ultrafine-grained states were studied using temperature curves obtained by IR thermography. New experimental data have been obtained indicating a significant influence of the ultrafine-grained state on the development of plastic strain and fracture processes in Ti and Zr-1Nb alloys.
