Wind farm generated capacity is increasing every year, the ability to accurately and adequately simulate the behavior of the wind turbine system will allow to study the processes that can occur both in the turbine itself and in interaction with the power system. This paper analyzes the transient stability of power systems, including wind turbine generator systems. It is necessary to study different flexible drive train models and it’s transient behaviors due symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults. Moreover, different stiffness and inertia constants, equal and unequal blade torque also affect the system state.
