Summary:Title screen
In this paper, the rationale for the possibility and feasibility of using open solid-fuel gas generators to rise underwater objects, including silted from great depths, is given. The design of the lifting device is proposed, as well as technical means for underwater combustion of solid fuel in the aquatic environment are described. Corresponding experimental results are presented with a discussion of the specific effects of the aquatic environment on the combustion process. The experimental results on the combustion of solid fuel in the aquatic environment are given. An approximate method is presented for calculating the ascent rate and the depth of the lifting device. Corresponding quantitative assessment for depths of 500 and 1000 m are given.
