Summary:Title screen
The paper reports on high-speed infrared pyrometer measurements of the surface temperature in A7 Al specimens with Ti coatings of different thicknesses during intense electron beam irradiation at different pulse energy densities. Also presented are numerical simulation data on temperature fields for the same conditions. The experimental and simulation data agree well and confirm that the surface heating rate depends in a definite manner on the main electron beam parameters, material properties, and coating thickness.
