| Summary: | Заглавие с экрана В статье анализируется перевод рассказа Артура Конан Дойла “The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle”, выполненный Г. А. Чарским в 1903 г. Данный перевод является значимым для исследования переводческой рецепции детективного творчества английского писателя и отражает основные тенденции в эволюции художественного перевода начала ХХ в. Перевод Г. А. Чарского характеризуется стремлением к сохранению композиции рассказа, а также его проблематики. В то же время, в данном переводе реализуется стратегия «одомашнивания» текста, применяются элементы разговорной лексики с целью адаптации произведения к восприятию русским читателем. The article analyzes the translation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle” by G. A. Charskiy in 1903. This translation is significant for the study of the translation reception of the English writer’s detective work and represents the main trends in the evolution of the literary translation of the early ХХ century. The translation by G. A. Charskiy is characterized by the desire to preserve the composition of the story, as well as its problems. At the same time, in this translation the strategy of “domestication” of the text is implemented.
