Summary:Title screen
As a protective coating for metal structures it is proposed to use bitumen-resin compositions, in which a petroleum resin or its oxidized version is a bitumen property modifier. Investigation of the properties of bitumen-resin coatings showed that the presence of oxygen-containing functional groups in modified petroleum resins increases the effectiveness of the protective action. Maximum values of coating adhesion correspond to 1-3% resin content in bitumen. Investigated coatings remain intact when exposed to such corrosive media as water, acid, alkali, salt for more than 24 days.
