Laminated object manufacturing object is one of the additive manufacturing techniques. In the traditional methods of the creation of objects, chemical reactions are not an important factor. However, in last years, in numerous publications devoted to experimental profiles, the information appeared on the fundamental role of chemistry and related questions in the formation of laminated objects. Chemically reacting intermediate layers are used in the process of welding different materials, during synthesis of layered composites, etc. In this paper, the model of reaction initiation in a thin layer between conjugated materials is formulated. It is assumed that a hot roll moves along the surface of a three-layer object. Due to the thermal conductivity phenomenon, the layer with a chemically active mixture is heated, which initiates the reaction. The velocity and temperature of the roll are given. The contact area depends on the pressure applied. The numerical realization of the model had allowed revealing various modes of reaction initiation.
