Цель статьи - выявление параметров семантико-прагматической организации термина. Метафорическое терминообразование обусловливает формирование прагматического компонента, связанного с телеологической мотивированностью, гносеологическим «комфортом», культурно и лингвистически обусловленной гносеологической традицией, определяющей модели организации семантики. The article discusses the semantic-pragmatic structure of the metaphorical term. It is regarded as a basic property that defines the epistemological potential. The purpose of the article is to identify the parameters of the metaphorical term semantic and pragmatic organization. The methodology of the research is based on Lakoff and Johnson’s theory of conceptual metaphor where the metaphor is a cognitive activity associated with analogy processes. Analysis of metaphorical terminology of different scientific fields has shown that metaphorical term formation causes the formation of a pragmatic component. That is evidenced by such semantic parameters as the focus on epistemological “comfort” - relying on well-known structures of knowledge; teleological motivation - the author’s concept of the research subject; culturally and linguistically-based epistemological tradition that defines the standard models of semantics organization in the processes of epistemological semiosis in terminological systems formation. The results of the research can be used in applied research of term systems, terminological thesaurus modeling, including bilingual thesauruses.
