The contact area (CA) formed by airand wear particles from the surface of bodies while theirinteraction remains under-explored. In this paper themotion of wear particles and air flow and the structureof the pressure field in sliding CA as result of thestochastic interaction between the surfaces taking intoaccount the air boundary layer was investigated. Theapproximate solution method based on functionalanalysis to estimate the state of the CA was used. Thesolvability of the equation and measure the closenessbetween the exact and approximate solution aredetermined on the approximate equation. It isdemonstrated that during the time changes from 0 to 1,the relative error of the pressure changes ?p reducesfrom 0.2 to 0.12.
