| Summary: | Title screen The article addresses problems of quality assurance in higher engineering education, analyses best international practices in the field, as well as the ways to solve outlined problems. The article indicates that professional accreditation of educational programs is considered as one of the key tools for quality assurance and assessment. Main aims and objectives of professional accreditation, as well as benefits for graduates of accredited programs in building their professional engineering career are described. Best practices and results of professional accreditation of educational programs in the field of engineering and technology conducted by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AEER) are presented in this paper. |
