Summary:Title screen
For several decades the researchers work on the assessment of human well-being. Recently, there has been a dramatic growth in the number of publications related to the elderly population wellbeing. This interest to the problem is generated due to the fact that our countries’ demographic structures have been irreversibly changing. This paper focuses on the development of a holistic approach to older adults well-being evaluation on the basis of system analysis. The paper discusses the models of system and practical levels integrating both objective indicators and subjective assessments. Approbation of the model is done on the basis of Russian national and regional statistics for objective indicators and sociological survey for subjective assessments. Global composite indices (Global AgeWatch and Active Aging Index) are used as the normative models for analysis of the research findings.
