Summary:Title screen
In this paper, we discuss the experimental results obtained using a laser monitor (laser projection microscope)which is used for observing processes through shielding background lighting: interaction of powerful energywith matter, combustion processes (e.g. self-propagating high-temperature synthesis), and plasma-inducedprocesses. The method and equipment for visualization and monitoring of these processes in real-time usingsingle-frame image registration are suggested. The active media of copper bromide vapor lasers with the highpulse repetition frequency (PRF) is considered to be the perfect gain medium for laser monitors. To increase thetime resolution of the system and the image quality we suggest the scheme in which the image amplifier andhigh-speed camera operate synchronously. The prototype of a compact laser monitor is designed. Furtherdevelopment of laser monitors is also discussed.
