Summary:Title screen
The problem of acoustic wave propagation in the turbulent atmosphere is solved by the Monte Carlo method. A 500-m plane-stratified model of the turbulent atmosphere is considered. Classical and molecular absorption of acoustic radiation and scattering by turbulent temperature and wind velocity fluctuations are taken into account for acoustic radiation frequencies of 1, 2, 3 and 4 kHz. A good agreement of the simulation results with experimentally measured values demonstrates the efficiency of the suggested algorithm.
