Summary:Title screen
This paper investigates experimentally the macroscopic regularities of the transformation of various water structures (single droplets, large massifs, water jets) during their motion (in free fall) in gas environment. Experimental investigations were performed by means of optical methods and high-speed (105 frames per second) video recording. The typical deformation cycles of single water droplets have been established. The aerodynamic resistance coefficients of single water droplets have been determined. The transformation stages of large liquid massifs and jets have been defined. Weber numbers have been compared that characterize the disintegration of considered water structures.
