Проведен анализ механизмов пылеобразования в системах с механическими вертикальными транспортерами сыпучих материалов элеваторами. Рассмотрен пылевой баланс механического элеватора. Проведена оценка выбросов пыли в атмосферу при его работе, предложены варианты схем установок обеспыливания воздуха. Transportation of particulate materials in mechanical conveyors is accompanied by the change of dispersed phase structures. These changes determine the stability and efficiency of materials transportation processes and air dust elimination. The dust formed in the mechanical conveyors creates a pressure drop and air currents that enter the premises working zone together with the dust. In horizontal mechanical conveyors dust is mostly formed at the stations of material repackaging from a conveyor to the conveying belt, from a crusher to the conveying belt, from a feeder to the conveying belt, and from the conveying belt to the warehouse. In all cases, the transported material induces air and forces it into the shelter. An overpressure of 20 to 80 Pa is created inside the shelter, which leads to the intense dust penetration into the room through the shelter openings. In mechanical elevators (vertical mechanical conveyors) dust is formed due to the transportation process inefficiencies. In this regard, the unloading processes of an mechanical elevator (noria) bucket at the 180° turning section were examined, and the inertial path lengths of differently sized material particles from their buckets outlet to the discharge pipe were estimated. The dust formation mechanisms in the systems with mechanical vertical conveyors for bulk materials (bucket mechanical elevators) were analyzed. The dust balance of the bucket elevator was considered. Dust emissions into the atmosphere during the bucket elevator operation were estimated, and the design options for air dust-removal facilities were proposed.
