Summary:Corrosive interaction of aluminum nanopowders of different dispersity with water was studied. Nanopowders were produced by method of wire electrical explosion in argon media. It was shown that aluminum nanopowders were exposed to high conversion degree. The corrosion process of nanopowders is characterized by breakdown time at the presence of gaseous water. The rate of nanopowder–water interaction increases as nanopowder specific surface area rises. Finding can be used to determine conditions of nanopowders keeping, to forecast nanopowder behavior at their transport and processing, to produce molecular hydrogen and so on.
