| Summary: | Title screen This work presents a two-dimensional model describing the propagation of an exothermal chemical reaction in a multilayer composite. The specimen consists of two layers of inert materials with different thermophysical properties and a reagent layer between them. The reaction is initiated from free surface. The model takes into account the melting of the reagent. It was demonstrated that conversion regimes are different for various ratios of sizes of inert layers.
