Elite Engineering Educational program (EEEP), implemented in Tomsk Polytechnic university (TPU) in 2004 creates the conditions for personal and interdisciplinary competencies formation and provide an opportunity to apply them in practice. The article contains analysis and recommendations to IT that can be involved in project activities while training technical specialists as well as monitoring of the competences formed during the educational process.
