Norm of Exploitation of Miners in Siberia in the Late 19th – Early 20th Centuries

| Summary: | Заглавие с экрана В статье рассматривается вопрос о распределении прибавочной стоимости в горной промышленности Сибири в конце XIX - начале ХХ вв. Автор на основе анализа финансовой отчетности акционерных предприятий золотопромышленности и углепромышленности края выявил соотношение средств, затраченных на рабочую силу, и средств, распределенных на прибыль и на непроизводственные издержки предприятий. Полученная норма прибавочной стоимости, наиболее точно отражающая степень эксплуатации наемных работников, у горнорабочих Сибири в конце XIX - начале ХХ в. оказалась выше, чем в фабрично-заводской промышленности России и обнаружила тенденцию к росту. По мнению автора статьи это было следствием модернизации производства и эксплуатации наиболее богатых и легкодоступных месторождений полезных ископаемых Сибири. The article focuses on the question of the distribution of added value in the mining industry in Siberia in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. Relying on the analysis of financial reports from Siberian goldmines and coalmines, the author reveals the correlation between the means spent on workforce and the means spent on income and the companies' non-production expenses. The calculated norm of added value - the most precise reflection of the measure of wage labour exploitation - turned out to be higher for Siberian mine workers in the late 19th - early 20th centuries than for workers in the European Russia and demonstrated the tendency to further growth. The author believes it to be a consequence of the modernization of production and the exploitation of the richest and most easily accessible Siberian deposits. |
