The article considers the problem of choice of video podcasts for the development of cross-cultural competence of the future linguists-translators in foreign language classes. The author introduces the classifications of video podcasts, discusses the criteria and principles for their choice for the indicated purpose, provides the examples of German-language podcasts chosen by the author.
