The most common support form of such activity is creation of Centers of Excellence. The paper outlines the experience of organizing a Center of Excellence at Tomsk Polytechnic University, goals to achieve in order to create a Center and its work principles. The key idea for Centers of Excellence is a deep connection between scientific and educational processes. This idea is put into practice by integrating the information on state-of-the-art achievements in different fields of science in curriculum.
