To examine the applicability of pulsed high current electron accelerators to hydrocarbon processing technology, the effect of the pulse electron beam of nanosecond duration on the n-decane solution has been studied. The experiments were performed using the ASTRA-M pulse electron accelerator with an electron kinetic energy of 450 keV, e-beam current pulse duration of 110 ns and pulse energy of 10 J. The electron beam dose was measured using the potassium nitrate recommended for measuring the dose of the pulse electron radiation. The average dose rate of electron radiation in the experiments was 2 kGy/s whilst the pulsed dose rate was up to 10 10 Gy/s. Processing of n-decane solution was carried out in argon filled stainless steel chamber in a stationary mode at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure. The results of gas-liquid chromatography of treated samples have been presented.
