High molecular weight organic polymer polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with its excellent chemicalstability, radiation resistance, stain resistance, heat resistance and easy film formability and acclaimed.However, due to the low surface energy of PVDF, a hydrophilic membrane prepared out of the poor, a stronghydrophobic, membrane separation process, susceptible to contamination so that the film is reduced waterproduction. Modification of the membrane material is the fundamental way to solve the problem of membranefouling. In this paper, in order to improve PVDF ultrafiltration membrane membrane was modified. Due to thefact that the sulfonic acids are good hydrophobes modification of PVDF was investigated by initiating grafting αparticles of styrene in the film, followed by sulfonation. In experiment received membrane with a good exchange capacity.
