Summary:There is much public concern about threats to global biodiversity. The most direct association with chemistry is through pollution being identified as a cause. Changing agricultural practices, including the use of herbicides and pesticides, also impact on biodiversity. This book addresses these concerns by detailing the research in progress. In this book the editors have provided a broad view of the many pressures imposed by human-induced changes and the many threats to global biodiversity and of the policy responses required to combat them.
