In this paper the basic thermodynamic functions of alkali metal tetrafluorobromates were investigated: enthalpy, entropy and heat capacity. Synthesis of alkali metal tetrafluorobromates was carried out by interaction of liquid bromine trifluoride with metal halides. To calculate the enthalpy of formation, process of alkali metal tetrafluorobromates was presented in form of sorption BrF3 on MeF. The calculation of entropy was carried out by the Hertz’s method for elements and inorganic compounds. Calculation of the heat capacity of the compounds was carried out by the Ivanova’s method. To clarify the calculated data, the enthalpies of formation of RbBrF4 and CsBrF4 were determined by calorimetric method.
