The high-temperature oscillating processes of heat emission during combustion of aluminum nanopowder in air were established. They are connected with the sequential increase and reduction in interaction rate of aluminum in the «nitrogen-oxygen» medium. Whereas intensive oxidation of aluminum nanopowder in nitrogen medium proceeds smoothly without oscillation. It was proposed that the change in oxidation rate and oscillating processes with the heat emission are connected with the special chemical properties of oxygen.
