This paper presents the study of transport and focusing of a pulsed ion beam generated by a diode with self-magnetic insulation. The experiments were carried out with the TEMP-4M accelerator operating in double-pulse mode: the first pulse is of negative polarity (300-500 ns,100-150 kV), and this is followed by a second pulse of positive polarity (150 ns, 250-300 kV).The transport of the beam at different distances from the diode was examined using a thermal imaging camera. It was found that the total energy of the ion beam during its transport on a distance of 18 cm does not reduce, whilst the beam diameter decreases from 10 cm to 5-6 cm at the focus.
