In the process of purification of fresh water in the Tomsk underground water intake produced in the year about 30 000 cubic meters iron waste in the form of precipitated iron hydroxide. This paper shows the possibility of plasma production of ironic hydroxide into a useful product in the form of iron oxide pigments for their subsequent use in the manufacture of paints and varnishes.
