Summary:There are two science fiction/fantasy stories in this book. In these stories, the writer imagines some new ideas and technologies for the future. He thinks that people in the future will live differently from people today. They will eat different food. They will travel in different vehicles and they will fight with different weapons. They will have different kinds of leaders and different kinds of governments. In the first story, machines which move and think - robots - are in control of a city. Men and women made the robots to help hiem, but now the robots have become more powerful than their makers. The second story is about a planet where two groups of people live. One group wants to leave the planet. But their spaceship cannot take them all to their new home. Look at the glossary on page 59 for explanations of difficult words and phrases.
