Summary:This monograph is devoted to problems of safeguarding equipment and instrumentation against vibrations and impacts. We explore some possibilities of expanding the gamut of dynamical properties of mechanical vibratory systems when special-purpose mechanisms are introduced into their structure to form additional ties. Emphasis is placed on effects brought about by mechanisms used for transforming the relative motion as well as by active facilities based on electrical and hydraulic automatic equipment.
